Medical Record Reviews for the Defense
Personalized Service, Timely Reports,
Board Certified Reviewer in all Specialties A comprehensive, timely, and impartial medical review is a key factor when handling a claim file. Providing you, the client, with excellence in medical record reviews is the business of Expert
Review, Inc. (ERI) Over 220 board certified physicians representing a wide spectrum of specialties (including internal
medicine, neurology, orthopedic surgery, and radiology) review the medical claims submitted to ERI. Our
oral surgeons and dentists review the dental/TMJ cases. All of our professional reviewers have experience
in reviewing medical/dental records, either in professional and/or in general liability cases.
All of our medical and dental reviewers are independent professionals currently in practice. ERI has no physicians or dentists on staff and none of the physicians or dentists who review medical cases for ERI are salaried by the company. This arrangement is purposeful. We want to provide you with a final report that is as objective and impartial as possible and feel the best way to do this is to have our physicians and dentists work with us as consultants, not for us as employees. Each physician and dentist on our professional roster is known personally to the staff of ERI. That relationship enables us to work closely with each physician and dentist and to select for your review the physician or dentist we consider best qualified for that particular case. An ERI professional will meet or talk with you as soon as we have your medical review in hand. Although we
will be able to anticipate many of your needs, we will ask you to identify the focus of your concerns and
any special factors you want to take into consideration. In the course of the review, our physicians will
be asked to address, at a minimum,
The medical record review will be returned to you as a signed and certified in a timely manner. Before we
release the report, however, a professional member of our staff will review it in detail to ensure that it
is complete, that it answers all of your questions, and that it addresses all of your concerns. In the
rare event that additional information is needed after a report has been submitted, that information can be
attached to the report as an addendum.
ERI is committed to excellence in both product and service. For this reason , our relationship with our
clients does not end with delivery of the report. We follow up with phone calls and visits after our
report is received to make sure your needs for expert medical review have been met as fully and as
professionally as possible and to let you know of our continuing interest in serving you.
Our fees, which are competitive within the industry, are based on a per hour basis.
There are occasions when our physcians are required to provide court testimony. The experts performing your medical record review are available to substantiate the findings of their review.
